“BLOOD” is a memorable new album inspired by real events from Joshua’s past and is truly a lyrical masterpiece. The album took a significant amount of development to achieve its flawless harmony and heart-warming lyrics; a process of over 3 years was put into the finalized perfected version of “BLOOD” we have today. The Album of 12 features a well-balanced mix of different instruments combined with engaging guitar tunes that connect with the listener. The album was produced and mixed by Joshua and it was recorded in various studios throughout California, Arizona, Georgia, and Tennessee.
The finalized version was mixed at Joshua’s studio “Black Gold Speakeasy” in Nashville TN. The effort and time it has taken this skillful artist is proof of how deep the connection is between him and the story this album unfolds about his past.
The development of this inspiring album features appearances of talented artists that contributed to the making of this masterpiece. Zak St. John, the Black Star Riders drummer. Ger Hoffman behind the bass, and a major contribution with the piano and organ by the experienced Michael Web. Tony Paoletta contributed lap steel, Sadler Vaden from Jason Isbell and the 400 unit played the guitar on 8 of the 12 songs, and Nick Nguyen from Bonepony added banjo and viola. The harmonies and backup vocals on BLOOD include guest appearances by Candace Devine from Ponderosa Grove, Heather Luttrel, CC Wyle, Kenny Wright The Great Affairs, Daniel and Joey O. The album was mastered by Michael Bozzi at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Holly California.

BLOOD is the tenth studio album by American singer-songwriter Joshua Ketchmark. It follows up the 2021 album
’The Huntington Hotel.’ The album was produced and mixed by Ketchmark and document’s Ketchmarks past. Ketchmark has stated that the album is based on true events and that the title is inspired not only by the lyrical subject matter but also by those involved with the making of the record.
All of the songs on BLOOD were written by Ketchmark, and a significant amount of the songwriting for the album took place in the later part of 2018 and beginning of 2019. The recording process started in the spring of 2020 and took place in various studios throughout California, Arizona, Georgia, and Tennessee. It all coame together to be completed and mixed at Ketchmarks studio ‘Black Gold Speakeasy’ in Nashville, TN.
